Reflections on the Model Delivery

The module I created is completely asynchronous.  I do my best work in the morning so I was online bright and early to see if anyone had begun.  Truthfully I am very proud of the module I created although there is always room for improvements regardless.  I was very nervous as to how the module would be received. I wanted my peers to enjoy what I created and not find it tedious or a chore to complete.
I found myself quite anxious on my delivery day and I kept checking in to see if anyone had questions or thoughts to share, as I really wanted to form a community of inquiry and I really hoped my Twitter hashtag would be a place to share information and form a community of learners. I also hoped the discussion forums would engage students and prompt meaningful discussions.
Delivery day consisted of a lot of waiting for something to happen.  This obviously would not have been the case had I done a synchronous model but I felt that my module would be best completed in an asynchronous manner. I found it very frustrating to not have control of the group as they could complete the module at their leisure as long as it was completed that day yet I wanted them to complete it early in the day so I could begin engaging.  I did not enjoy the feeling of not being able to control that situation.
I was initially disappointed that my group did not wish to make a video of 5 important facts to get acquainted and chose the option for just listing them.  I made a video and hoped they'd follow suit however that did not happen.  I was hoping the video aspect would increase social presence.
Overall, I am quite pleased with the process.
